  • Commission piece makes Top 15 best-sellers list! Posted on 12 September 2018

The Organist at St Barnabas, Dr Tom Edwards, had been playing Tim Knight’s piece, ‘The Good Doctors Blast’ (another commission piece for a fellow organist!) in New Zealand. When he returned to England he took over at St Barnabas Oxford and wanted to use the words of the ‘Prayer of St Julian’.  However, up until then, the only setting available was by William Matthias and he wasn't keen on the Matthias, despite it being very beautiful. Therefore, he commissioned Tim Knight to write a setting for him, which has been used several times at St Barnabas since it was premiered.

We are delighted that it is so well liked it has made Paraclete Press' Top 15 best-selling anthems list of 2017-2018!

The US publisher, Paraclete Press, has a reputation for dealing with the best of UK Church composers and pieces can be obtained directly from them, or they can be obtained in the UK through the RSCM who distributes for them via Norwich Books and Music.

If you have any trouble getting hold of the piece, please contact us!
